Bead roller

October 2015

Making two gears for the bead roller, one short one and one long one, the long one will be attached to the fixed bottom shaft, the shorter gear will slide backward and forwards on the long bottom gear to give the adjustment to get the dies exactly where I want them. I went will a DP10 gear tooth to prove a decent amount of depth to allow for misalignment as the top shaft will move up and down at the far die end causing the gears to not mesh perfectly.

These pictures are of using the stroker to make a 6mm key-way in the 4140 steel gear blanks and the horizontal mill with as DP10 involute gear cutter on a 1" arbour and a dividing head with 20 teeth per gear.
